3 Day Toubkal winter Ascent Trek
3-Days Toubkal Winter Trek
Experience the High Atlas Mountains in their most dramatic season on our 3 Day Toubkal Winter Ascent Trek. Standing at 4,167m, Mount Toubkal is the highest peak in North Africa and one of Morocco's most rewarding mountain challenges.
This Toubkal winter trek takes us from Marrakech into Toubkal National Park, through traditional Berber villages and the spectacular Ait Mizane Valley, before ascending into the high mountains towards the Toubkal base camp Refuge. During the winter months, the landscape is transformed by snow and ice, creating a very different experience from the summer Toubkal trek.
The summit ascent is the highlight of the journey. From the refuge, we climb towards the summit of Mount Toubkal across high-altitude mountain terrain, with spectacular views across the surrounding High Atlas peaks and valleys when weather conditions are clear. Winter conditions can make the ascent significantly more demanding than the summer route, so appropriate mountain equipment and suitable preparation are essential.
Along the way, we will also experience the cultural side of the High Atlas, passing through traditional Berber communities and meeting local people who have lived in these mountains for generations. The combination of snowy mountain scenery, traditional villages, and the challenge of reaching a 4,000m summit makes this Toubkal Winter Ascent a memorable Moroccan trekking experience.
