Morocco Day Trip Hiking Imlil Valley from Marrakech
In the foothills of the snow-capped Atlas Mountains. Hiking Imlil valley day trip starts from Marrakech around 8 a.m with a drive south up the Moulay Brahim Gorges. Asni weekly market day every Saturday then to Imlil valley (1740m).
This full hiking day trip is intended to introduce you to the mountainous and rural villages of Imlil valley at the foot of the Toubkal summit. It is the highest peak in North Africa (4167m) high. Varied nature in the heart of its colorful terrace cultivation valley. The Berbers who live on the mountain slopes are used to fight hard against the harsh winter climate, and their hospitality is legendary.
A private day excursion to the Imlil valley mountain region. We depart from Marrakech at 09:00hrs in Minibuses or 4×4 vehicles and head for the Atlas Mountains. Our drive takes us into the Atlas Mountains to view the wonderful views and surrounding terrain. Along the way, there are lots of sights to see and people to meet. About 4 hours guided tour around Berber villages with possibility to ride camels or horses during this day. During the day, we enjoy a traditional Berber lunch.
We return to Marrakech at around 17:00hrs.
