Holiday Itinerary

• Day 1 :     Fly  to  Marrakech  

Join tour in Marrakech. Arrival Day and Welcome Meeting Complimentary airport transfers are provided for clients arriving on this day.

• Day 2 :  Marrakech  -   Asni   -  Imlil (1750m)     

Pick up in Marrakech and drive toward the Atlas Mountains in Imlil valley, located at the foot of Toubkal Mountain, the highest peak in Morocco and North Africa over 4167m high. Here we start a wonderful walking experience through the mountain villages inhabited by the friendly and traditional Berber tribe. While you walk, your children can ride mules, so you can stretch your legs and take in the clear mountain air and views and discover the local lifestyle of the ethnic Berbers, a herding and farming community. Visit their homes and interact with them to know more about their traditions and customs. See their terraced fields of corn and barley and get a glimpse of their day to day living.

• Day 3 :  Imlil (1750m)  -  Tizi n Tichka (2260m)  -  Draa Valley   -   Zagoura 

After breakfast pick up, and head out over the Atlas Mountains to cross the stunning Tizi n Tichka pass (2260m) through lots of Berber villages. Visit the UNESCO World Heritage of Ait Ben Hadou, and an optional visit to Atlas Film studios of Cinema in Ouarzazat. After lunch we drive further to Zagoura, with beautiful views of the Draa Valley and Tamgroute, the old Koranic library and the village of green pottery and ceramic made by the locals. To arrive to our Auberge then a camels trek to our camp (Berber nomad tents) with drums music in the middle of the Sahara and traditional Moroccan dinner.

• Day 4 :  Zagoura  - Taznakht  -  Taliouine  -  Taroudant

After viewing the most beautiful sunrise and having breakfast at the camp site you will ride the camels back to the Auberge. Head out from the Sahara desert and drive via Tizi n’Bachkoum to Tazenakht, village of carpets. And then on to the high plateau of Taliouine, the Safran village at the foot of the Djebel Siroua Mountains. Finally we’ll reach the lower regions and the Souss Valley amidst a landscape of Argan trees. These trees, which are unique to Morocco, produce oil somewhat similar to olive oil that is used for both cosmetic and culinary purposes.

• Day 5 :  Taroudant  -  Agadir  -  Essaouira

This morning we start our day by discovering this impressive Berber market town of Taroudant, The imperial city of the Saadians. Then we join our minibus to start driving through the spectacular Agadir city and along a winding coastal road to Essaouira, a former pirates' lair. The first section of this journey is almost sub-tropical with sheltered valleys where bananas are cultivated intensively. Much of the higher ground is given over to Argan trees, and here where you're likely to spot the improbable sight of a tree full of goats – the goats climb into the trees to eat whatever they can. Fortunately the Argan trees are largely resistant to this kind of assault.

• Day 6 :        free day to explore the town 

Enjoy a free day - Essaouira has wide sandy beaches where you can hire camels, go for long walks or even try kite-surfing. Explore the town with its great fish restaurants and bazaars or eat at a stall on the quayside. Optional possibilities:

• Day 7 :   Essaouira  -  Marrakech 

Enjoy the morning at your leisure before transferring to your hotel in Marrakech, allowing time to explore the city’s colorful souks and perhaps take a stroll around its celebrated Djemma El Fna Square. A feast for the senses, the square is a wonderful confusion of noise and color, where you will find the streets alive with storytellers, musicians, jugglers and water-sellers: the perfect place to haggle for some last minute presents, or just sit at a cafe and watch the spectacle unfold before you.

• Day 8 : The end of the adventure

Transfer to the Marrakech airport. Flight back home.
