Discover the spectacular landscapes of Morocco’s High Atlas Mountains on this 9 Days Toubkal National Park Trek, combining the remote valleys and Berber villages of the Toubkal region with the beautiful Ifni Lake and the summit of Mount Toubkal (4,167m), the highest mountain in North Africa.
This extended Toubkal Circuit Trek is designed for hikers who want more than a short ascent of Mount Toubkal. The route takes us away from the busier trails and through remote mountain valleys, traditional Amazigh villages, high-altitude passes and rugged landscapes before reaching Ifni Lake and continuing towards the Toubkal Refuge.
The trek begins at Oukaimeden, Morocco's famous high-altitude ski resort, and crosses several spectacular mountain passes including Tizi n'Likemt (3,550m), Tizi n'Ourayn (3,100m) and Ouanoums Pass (3,650m). Along the way, we will experience traditional mountain life, stay in local villages and enjoy some of the most impressive scenery in Toubkal National Park.
The highlight of the adventure is the ascent of Mount Toubkal at 4,167 metres. In summer, the summit climb is non-technical but involves steep and rocky terrain. In winter and early spring, snow and ice can make the ascent considerably more demanding, requiring appropriate equipment and previous winter mountain experience.
With several days of gradual altitude gain before reaching the summit, this itinerary also provides a more progressive acclimatization experience than shorter Toubkal trekking programs.

Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech
Arrive in Marrakech and explore its vibrant streets, markets, and historical sites.

Day 2: Marrakech – Oukaimeden (2600m) – Tachdirt (2500m)
Drive to Oukaimeden and begin trekking through stunning mountain landscapes to Tachdirt, a high-altitude Berber village.

Day 3: Tachdirt (2500m) – Likemt Pass (3550m) – Azib n'Likemt (2600m)
Cross the challenging Likemt Pass, enjoying breathtaking panoramic views before descending to Azib n'Likemt.

Day 4: Azib n'Likemt (2600m) – Tizi n'Ourayn (3100m) – Amssouzart

An early morning climb to the highest peak in North Africa, followed by a descent back to Neltner Refuge.

How Difficult Is This 9 Day Toubkal Trek?
This 9 day Toubkal trekking adventure is considered moderate to challenging and is recommended for hikers with good physical fitness.
The itinerary includes:

- long hiking days
- mountain passes
- rocky terrain
However, the gradual pace of the trek allows excellent acclimatization compared to shorter Mount Toubkal tours.
No technical climbing skills are required during the summer season.
