Holiday Itinerary

• Day 1 :     Fly  to  Marrakech  

Join tour in Marrakech. Arrival Day and Welcome Meeting.

Complimentary airport transfers are provided for clients arriving on this day.

• Day 2:  Marrakech  –  Ait Bouguemmez (1800m)  -  Ikiss n Arouss (2500m).

After an early breakfast in Marrakech, pick up and drive to Ait Bouguemez valley through Demnate and Imi n’iIfri, where we will visit and explore the natural bridge. Then we continue driving to Ait Bouguemez via the sheep valley of Ait boulli. Here we pick up our muleteers and the start of our trekking trail, taking us through poppy fields and lush farmland to reach our first camp close to the Azibs n'Ikkis at 2500m.

• Day 3 :  Ikiss n Arouss (2500m) -  Aghouri pass (3450m)  -  Tarkadit Plateau (2900m)

The morning starts in a wild landscape with a steadily rising traverse towards the Tizi-n-Omskik (2910m) than up to the Aghouri pass (3450m) enjoying fantastic views. We then descend on trails leading towards our camp beside a mountain hut at 2900m surrounded by spectacular scenery in the stunningly beautiful Tarkeddit Plateau.

• Day 4 :  Tarkeddit (2900m)  -  Mgoun summit (4071m)  -   Oulilimt (2600m)

 A pre-dawn start is necessary today as we head towards the lower slopes of Mgoun. The climb follows a long ridge, all at or above 4000m. Finally reaching the cairned peak of Mgoun - 4071m, where we are rewarded with stupendous views of the High Atlas and towards the Sahara Desert to the south.  After enjoying the summit we descend to our camp at Oulilimt (2600m).

• Day 5 :  Oulilimt (2600m)  -  Aflafal  springs (2400m)

Descent along the Oullilymt river in a beautiful gorge, and very present pastoral life with a Possibility of sharing tea with the local nomad shepherds, unforgettable and human contact. Arrival at the camp located along the Mgoun river at 2400m

4 hrs walk   /  camp  /  Meals: B, L, D

• Day 6 :   Aflafal (2400m)  -  Tizi n Ait Imi (2905m)  -  Bouguemez valley (1800m)

The hike starts today with a Gradual climb to win the Tizi n'Ait Imi (2905m), which is a historic passage for the Ait Atta and Aït H'med nomads to reach the mountain pastures. Panoramic view of the famous bouguemmez valley. Then a Beautiful descent by a zigzag path to reach the sacred sources of Aït Imi and the seven mills, then free afternoon discovering the local lifestyle, vibrant green fields and walnut groves, Berber villages and fortified granaries in the spectacular Bouguemez valley. Night in a Gite with hot shower.

• Day 7 :  Bouguemez  -  Ouzoud waterfalls  -  Marrakech

This morning we leave the happy valley and drive towards the Ouzoud waterfalls, passing traditional farms and villages. After lunch we stretch our legs to explore the highest waterfalls in Morocco. Then we drive back to Marrakech where, on arrival, we have some free time to explore the city’s colorful souks and perhaps take a stroll around its celebrated Djemma El Fna Square. A feast for the senses, the square is a wonderful confusion of noise and color, where you will find the streets alive with storytellers, musicians, jugglers and water-sellers: the perfect place to haggle for some last minute presents, or just sit at a cafe and watch the spectacle unfold before you

• Day 8 :  The end of the tour

Transfer to the Marrakech airport.

Flight back home.
