Holiday Itinerary

• Day 1 : Marrakech - Imlil(1750m) - Neltner Refuge(3207m)

Pick up from your hotel in Marrakech then drive to Imlil, a Berber village located about 65 km south from Marrakech, where our trek will start. Here we will meet with our local Berber muletiers crew to transport our food, luggage and other necessary equipment.then we start our trek heading along the Mizane Valley first towards the village of Aroumd and then up to the shrine of Sidi Chamharouch  which attracts tourists and pilgrims. Built on a moraine spur overlooking the valley floor, after having our lunch, we continue our walk up to reach the Toubkal base camp at 3207m high.

• Day 2 :   Refuge (3207m) - Toubkal summit (4167m) - Aroumd (1900m) - Imlil (1750m)  

Our early start heads steeply up above the refuge zig-zagging across scree and boulders before reaching the summit of Jebel Toubkal (4167m) - North Africa's highest peak. After pausing for panoramic views and a "summit shot, » The descent from the peak takes us back to our camp for lunch then we trek same way down via Sidi Chamharouch shrine and Aroumd to reach Imlil.

• Day 3 :     Imlil (1750m) - Tizi n Tichka (2260m) - Draa Valley  -  Zagoura 

Pick up from your accommodation in Marrakech, and head out over the Atlas Mountains to cross the stunning Tizi n Tichka pass (2260m) through lots of Berber villages. Visit the UNESCO World Heritage of Ait Ben Hadou, and an optional visit to Atlas Film studios of Cinema in Ouarzazat. After lunch we drive further to Zagoura, with beautiful views of the Draa Valley and Tamgroute, the old Koranic library and the village of green pottery and ceramic made by the locals. To arrive to our Auberge then a camels trek to our camp (Berber nomad tents) with drums music in the middle of the Sahara and traditional Moroccan dinner.

• Day 4 :   Zagoura  - Tizi n Tichka (2260m) - Marrakech

After viewing the most beautiful sunrise and having breakfast at the camp site you will ride the camels back to the Auberge. Then drive back to Marrakech, again via Tichka pass.
